1/25/2024 0 Comments Motorcycle ecu flash near meUPDATE: what went from just a comparison review that I was gathering quickly turned into a sticky situation due to misrepresentation and awkward information being passed around by alpha. and i hope this flash proves that alpha racing is still the leader in s1k performance upgrades. I really hope my experience with this ECU flash isnt like some others i have heard. if anyone has pics of their dyno pulls before and after flashing their ECU it would be great if you can post a pic of it along with what modifications you have and what state you are from for comparison. this is strictly to put to rest which ECU flash is is superior. but i ask that you guys PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not blow up this thread with attacking ALPHA racing or george unless you are strictly stating proven facts or events that have happened, i really dont want the admins to lock up my thread again lol. If you guys have input please feel free to chime in or let me know if i missed something here. I will soon go get some dyno pulls done with the OEM mapping and again with this adaptive map that george created for me. One thing i found odd but if it is true then its a pretty good feature is that george said the adaptive map does not need custom tuning to run race fuel, because the map is adaptive (im a yamaha guy, so this whole adaptive concept is new to me i never heard of that), if that is the case then thats sick that i can use pump gas and switch to race fuel and vice versa without having to load a new ecu file each time. i flashed the ECU and havnt rode the bike as of yet but everything seems to be successful. everything was exactly as he said it should be to reach maximum power using this flash. So i received a MAP from George Villar which he said was a "Adaptive Map", i followed his instructions to the T, removed SAS plates and blocked the system in the motor and the tank. I purchased this unit about 6 months ago during the winter and never got around to using it until now due to my bike still being restricted by the rev limiter, today i finally removed the limiter, did my own initial service (15k+ into the bike i believe it wasnt a good idea to have the dealer digging into the bike. I will be unbiased and will speak it how it is from the early stages to the final DYNO. The engine becomes more lively and reacts faster to the throttle. So I decided to start a small thread with my experience of the ALPHA racing powergate 3 ECU flash. With an unchanged driving style, a reduction in fuel consumption is achievable because the efficiency of the engine is increased. This allows the engine to accelerate faster and increases top speed. All this results in engines from 8% to 13% performance improvement, so torque (traction power) and power (top speed). With ECU tuning, those parameters are again tuned, but more ideally, to each other. Improving, for example, injection times and ignition timings with the aim of improving combustion, will result in a better running, better handling and better accelerating engine. In addition, many adjustments can be made that cannot be done with, for example, a Power Commander, for example, think of. Originally, these values are programmed to comply with all frameworks of the law, and to meet a wide range of driving styles. This results in a compromise from the manufacturer, which entails opportunities for improvement. The space thus offers the possibility to tune the engine, without the engine being irreparably damaged. Often these programs are written far within the maximum load of the respective motor. The chips in an ECU are loaded with software. With ECU tuning, the programs are edited that form the engine management on the basis of many parameters (measured values). This continuously regulates, among other things, the amount of fuel injected and the ignition timing. Most engines in modern motorcycles are controlled by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
